About the Google SERP Preview Tool

Your title tag and meta description are your ad in Google. Google truncates titles at about 600 pixels on desktop (not a fixed number of characters — 'W' is far wider than 'i'), and descriptions at about 920 pixels on desktop and fewer on mobile.

Nuqti measures your text in pixels using the same font Google uses, shows where the '…' will appear on desktop and mobile, and renders the full result card so you can polish it before publishing.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a title tag be?

Up to about 600 px — roughly 50–60 characters. Put the main keyword near the start.

How long should a meta description be?

About 150–160 characters (920 px) on desktop; the first ~120 characters matter most for mobile.

Why does Google show a different title?

Google rewrites titles that are too long, stuffed with keywords, or don't match the page. Keep them descriptive and unique.

Does the meta description affect rankings?

No, but a compelling one raises click-through rate.
