About the HTTP Header Checker

Before any page content arrives, the server sends HTTP headers: the status code, content type, caching rules, compression, cookies, security policies and indexing instructions like X-Robots-Tag. Most SEO and speed problems leave a trace here.

Nuqti requests the URL like a crawler, follows redirects, and lists every response header with a short explanation — plus quick verdicts on compression, caching, CDN and HTTP/3.

How to use it

Frequently asked questions

How do I check the HTTP headers of a website?

Enter the URL above. You'll see the status code and every response header the server returned.

What is X-Robots-Tag?

A header version of meta robots — it can noindex PDFs, images or whole sites. A stray 'noindex' here can drop pages from Google.

How do I know if compression is on?

Look for content-encoding: gzip or br (Brotli). No compression means larger, slower pages.

Which caching header should I use?

For static files: cache-control: public, max-age=31536000, immutable. For HTML: a short max-age or no-cache with an ETag.
